Internet marketing is not a new concept. People have been selling products and services online for years now. One of the main ways in which this is accomplished is through email marketing. Using email lists for marketing purposes is popular and effective, if you know how to do it right. Email marketing is a dynamic industry, and keeping up with the constant changes is important if you want to be successful and avoid being labeled as a spammer. New ideas are introduced each day, and you have to adapt to these changes in order to survive.

You can make the most of your email lists and keep your overhead costs and energy output as low as possible by building up a high quality list that consists of solid business leads.

  1. Email people who have already shown an interest in your products and services. Ask visitors to your website to opt in to your bulk email opt in mailing list, and then you can send them regular emails to remind them of your products and services, or notify them of any promotions or sales you are running. It is the people who have already been to your site that will be easiest to persuade that you have something great to offer.
  2. Never email people without their explicit permission. This is sure way for you to be labeled as a spammer. In order to develop a good business relationship with your customers, you need to be respectful of their wishes and their time. Sending out an endless barrage of emails, especially when you are including those not on your email address database, then you are most likely wasting your time. Cold calling does not work well, and neither does cold emailing.
  3. Be sure that when you send out an email to your email list for marketing purposes, that the links in the email go directly to an excellent squeeze page. You want those people who choose to click through to see the best and brightest efforts that you have to offer. A boring or unprofessional page will be a turn off. Make sure that there is good information and that everything is perfect.
  4. Provide a benefit to those who choose to join your bulk email opt in list. These people are on your email list for a reason, and if you want to use the email list for marketing, then you need to keep them there. A free ebook, weekly tips and tricks or a discount on your products or services can work wonders.
